As the author of the Filidor rock climbing guidebook series, Sandro carries on with the same passion the work started by his Father. He loves to spend as much of his free time as possible climbing or bouldering here at home or abroad. 

Since the very first Rockclimbing Guidebooks published by Filidor, Berthi has actively been a team player distributing and book keeping for Filidor Publishing House. She is key to the decision making and direction of the company and also loves to do “climbing research” especially for the Plaisir routes! 

Together with Sandro, Christina travels through Switzerland and abroad, always looking for the most beautiful climbing routes and the best restaurants. When the weather is bad she supports us in the Filidor office.

Anyone who has spent any time at all climbing the limestone cliffs in the Frutig Valley will sooner or later come across the name Hans Grossen. With an unmatched passionate drive, his energy has led to countless new routes and to the very development of rock climbing in the Bernese Oberland. With his meticulous editing of our work, Hans is an invaluable contributor to Filidor.

As a long time von Känel family friend and tireless climber, James is the right fit for the job of translating the climbing guidebooks into English. His Bernese wife Franziska supports him in his efforts. They live in Utah where they have many first ascents and climbs throughout the world. James is also the author of the climbing guide “Utah’s West Desert”.
