Standing on the tiny edges here can be an awesome confidence builder. Climbing is not all muscle power and good luck. Becoming a good climber often means having a good head. The first routes were climbed by Hansruedi Studer. Later, Jörg Wüthrich equipped an area further to the right perfect for beginning leaders.

In June 2017, the Oberbuchsiterplatte was closed due to rockfall danger. In cooperation with the municipality of Oberbuchsiten, the canton of Solothurn, the IG Klettern Jurasüdfuss and the SAC section Olten, measures were developed and implemented that allow the resumption of climbing. We are pleased that after 4 years at the Oberbuchsiterplatte can be climbed again from September 1, 2021! The IG Klettern Jurasüdfuss is pleased about the constructive solution as well as the good cooperation with the municipality of Oberbuchsiten, the canton of Solothurn and the SAC section Olten.
