The Placche di Oriana are situated in idyllic alpine meadows: the perfect Plaisir climbers’ playground. You will most likely share the approach trail with the large horned attack goats of the Aosta Valley, but have no fear, they are more interested in attacking the hillside herbs and grasses. Up slabby textured gneiss sprinkled with bulgy sections are moderately graded routes one next to another. On the “summit”, you will be greeted by amazing views of  Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn. It is here where the climbers from Turin and Milan get to escape the heat and hectic big city life.
