Chemin ****

The classic sector was developed in the 1980’s by Lucien Abbet and Vital Bender. It is technically challenging climbing and ideal in the winter. The “Les Confines” and “Les Asymptomatique” sectors were developed during the pandemic. An enormous amount of hard work, sweat and passion went into creating trails to the base of the wall. Gardening choss and trundling loose blocks made this otherwise difficult to apprach wall accessible. They even made a climbers parking lot! Huge kudos go out to the developers who made it possible for us to climb in this idyllic area. The gneiss is nicely featured and has many small pockets and edges. Whether on the approach or at the base of the wall, please be careful, you don’t want to fall here!! Summer can be very hot!
