The rock on the Petits Perrons is really coarse and grippy. Unfortunately, the two cruxe pitches lack some of that great friction. Here you will need your total focus. The summit will treat you with wonderful panoramic views to Lac de Salanfe, Leysin, and the Mont Blanc. In winter, you can take the chairlift to Le Velard. From here, it is a 20 minute approach on skis. A worthy fall and winter climb.
