Tour Termier *****

Here in the kingdom of vultures, ibex, and the highland cows, nature and the views are awe inspiring. While the numerous amateur cyclists are huffing and puffing up the steep Galibier Pass trying in vain to beat Alberto Contador’s time, climbers can scale the steep walls in solitude. The dolomite like Tour Termier rises impressively into the heights offering climbers the best in rock quality and an amazing “big wall” feel. The walk off is beautiful, but take care and watch your step descending the steep couloir! Thanks to the endless trail work efforts by Gerard Fiaschi, the path starts right out of the parking lot and traverses right to the base of the wall. If you leave any edibles in your pack, you can bank on the marmots helping themselves in preparation for the upcoming lean winter months. Best hang your packs out of their reach!
