A very uniquely featured rock distinguishes the classic crag at Matlusch. Next to cracks and dihedrals to climb, take your pick and hone your slab skills on the tenuous slabs. The forgiving horizontally featured rock in the “Sunnegg” Sector has many easier fun routes. The rock dries quickly after rain. When the Chinook winds (south winds) are blowing, it might be best to stay away.

Due to the risk of rockfalls at Matlusch, the Steigstrasse is closed to all traffic effective immediately and until further notice, from the Oberdorf intersection to the junction with the Steigstrasse from Maienfeld. The climbing area and the Matlusch hiking trail are also closed.
