Val Forno ****

Good news from Val Forno: two old routes have been rebolted and a new one has been added. If you are looking for granite slab climbing par excellence in breathtaking surroundings, this is the place for you. The “Zungenkuss” will make your heart beat faster: enjoyable plaisir climbing and very good protection, truly a pleasure. The “Plattenschuss” is generously bolted and children and beginners can feel comfortable  leading. “Serp del Forno” is a little more challenging: nine pitches of the finest climbing in the best Bregaglia granite make the route a very rewarding day's work. The wall remains in the shade until around 11 a.m., and in early summer the first pitches may still be covered in snow (ask the hut warden). After completing the routes, you can walk to the hut. In addition to the friendly hosts, further routes await you.
