Graue Wand *****
Max Niedermann on the FA followed the obvious continuous crack system to the top of the buttress in 1964. An instant classic and remains popular. The neighboring routes to the “Niedermann” have become added to every granite lover’s tick list. The bergschrund condition beneath the routes may at times require an ice axe and crampons for the final moves of the approach. Beneath and to the left of the Graue Wand, you will find the Rote Platten. Perfect cracks lead up the compact slabs and offer aesthetic lines.

Anna Enrich and Mike Schwitter rebolted the "Captain Morgan". Old bolts were replaced. In addition, a new first pitch was bolted due to glacier retreat.
Jonas Allemann has replaced the old rust cucumbers with solid Inox bolts in the "Conquest" route.
