Ardez ***

Climbing opportunities in the Lower Engadine are few and far between. So it's all the more welcome that Ardez, the most important climbing area, has been rebolted and expanded. Various sectors with different characteristics await you. The main sector is located right next to the road and offers the longest and most difficult routes, with the rock being heavily worn in places. In the “Central/East” and “North” sectors (facing southeast!), the routes are more accessible and the atmosphere in the fairytale forest is much more idyllic. These sectors are also suitable for children. The least interesting sector is “West.” Although this wall looks promising from a distance, it offers few possibilities and the base of the wall is very steep. The pretty village of Ardez is well worth a visit.
