The Wellhorn North face is situated in a spectactular arena. Climbing in this corner of the cirque can be pschologically as well as physically demanding. The two routes on the north pillar are comparable to the Geneva Pillar characterized by the high quality alpine limestone. Though the routes are not so long, the pitches take time so it is often best to allow a bit of extra time for getting up and getting off.
