Claro is one of the many areas originally developed by the Gruppo Scoiattoli (Little Squirrels Climbing Club from Lugano) in the late 80s and early 90s. Recently, old long standing projects were freed and new routes or variations introduced. Today, a selection of more than 90 routes rated between 6a and 8c+ is available. Hard classics like ”Cubo Magico”, “Zigofolies” (both 1987) or “Apnea” (1990) are Must Do’s.

Marcel Dettling has bolted a new route to the left of "Carolaina": "Jaraguri" (6a). Leads left from "Carolaina" up to the foot of this tower, where the NR route makes the left turn. There is now a belaystation, which it makes sense to use also for the Carolaina.
