Pissevache ****
High above the Rhone Valley the steep spurs rise out of the woods. It is a wild, steep, and airy place. An area to explore especially in the fall with its gorgeous colors. It has something mystical about it. Countless routes have been developed on the various rock walls. The approach to the sectors “Pilier de la Pissevache”, “Pilier Central” and “Dalles a Bornet” is steep and at times exposed. In late fall and spring, sections can be icy and problematic. Good approach shoes and helmets are strongly recommended. The routes on “Pilier de la Pissevache” can also be approached “Verdon style”, that is, via rappel. For beginners it is predestined to climb the “Dalle des Dames” (no matter whether female or male). It has a casual approach, grippy slabs, bomber protection, complete with the perfect ending: a refreshing beer in the Auberge, cheers!
