That this beautiful gray-yellow limestone wall was not developed and climbed on earlier is simply amazing! That said, the wall is located in a sensitive area in the Kien Valley, a federal hunting ban area. Visitors to this area please observe the posted rules. For example, a bivouac on the Gumpelmad is definitely a No-Go! After several different forays by different groups, a very direct line was finally developed: “Maira” offers wonderful vertical pitches yielding impressive views down into Kiental. The lower part of the wall is sportier and more run out than the upper part of the wall.
