The conglomerate climbing in the lower sector requires some getting used to. But if you want to have a little change from the “usual” limestone, you may find the climbing on these rounded imbedded pebbles and pockets to be very unique. There is beautifully featured sandstone in the “Traumland” (Dreamland) sector. To get to it, you rappel in from above. First, it is crucial to find the correct rap station (about 5 minutes from the parking lot near a twisted Beech tree. And second, that you have enough energy at the end of the day to climb back out via the easiest route (6a). You may want to avoid “Traumland” on weekends and in the evenings after work as it can get very busy. While the lower sector sits shaded in the trees, “Traumland” bathes in the sunshine and climbing is even possible when it is cold out. The “mayor of Känzele” Wolfgang Vogl put up his four hundredth (!) route in Kanzele as of 2020. In the same year, he also published a new Känzele climbing guide.
