Piansecco is one of the most beautiful climbing areas in the Ticino. The coarse wonderfully featured granite leaves nothing to be desired. The season begins in early summer and ends with the first snowfall. The golden late Autumn days are the best when the larch trees glow yellow and the peaks are snow covered and it is perfectly quiet.

Renato Salvini and Jens Gerhhard rebolted the route "Herbstwind" in October 2021. All 12 belays were replaced. Various intermediate bolts were also replaced and some were added.
