The cliff above Cevio is one of those rare “dry even when raining” climbing crags in Ticino. Taking into consideration that it can rain anywhere, climbing here has the distinct advantage of always being protected from wetness! The imbedded volcanic tufa sections within the gneiss is at times dirty, but is wondrously structured for the most part with edges, pockets, and even honeycomb-like features. Really nice rock, lots of air under your feet, and even a Yosemite-like feeling is to be had on the Pareti di Cevio. Four logical lines climb up the impressive wall.
